Seals

Because of the killing of Osama Bin Laden, the Seals who executed the attack are actually fearing something happening to their family. Giving out raid details will most likely give the Seals a target on their back and their families for the killing of Osama Bin Laden, so i can understand why they feel uncomfortable with giving out alot of information.

Amal Al Sada was the wife that got shot in the leg by one of the Navy Seals' when everything went down, apparently she rushed at the Seals intending to do some damage with a  weapon she did not have, which was not very smart of her i must add. She told her family that she wanted to be marked down in history, and i guess her name sort of got out there.

Discussion

The last discussion we had on immigration was a really good experience and i hope that our next discussion regarding U.S and Osama Bin Laden well be just as awesome. It should be interesting to see what people think of what went down in the past week and a half and everyones views on the topic. I personally am excited about discussions that interest me, for example; Ill be honost i wasn't that into the topic of education so the discussion was not 'that' fun to me, but i didn't dislike it also.

Freedom Fighters

Everyone keeps saying "Terrorist" this "Terrorist" that, but you have to think outside the box. If you think about it, they are probably calling us terrorists also! So technically a terrorist doesnt have to symbolize a man with a turban on his head. America is always getting into everyones buisness and we seem to be the world's police. Half the people in the middle east hate our American guts.

There are alot of controversies that could be made up on how Osama Bin Laden died. There has been controversies saying that Bin Laden actually had a lung diseas and was not going to live very long. So what if he actually died a long time ago? No one can actually say. Also, these are not facts they're just opinions and statements.

Will it Change Anything?

I'm pretty sure everyone knows that Osama Bin Laden is currently dead and people keep cheering everywhere like the war is over and everyone says it will stop terrorism. I agree it needed to be done and he needed to be caught dead or alive so the victims of 9/11 will have have their justice, but Al Quida will definately retaliate against the U.S

Osama Bin Laden Dead?

After long years of our military looking for the so called Al' Qaida "leader" Osama Bin Laden, we finally found him. We expected him to be hiding in mountainous regions between Afghanistan and Pakinstan, but what we failed to do was to be simple and search for him in common places such as the mansion he was shot in on Sunday, May 01, 2011. He obviously was not hiding in the mountains, he was simply just partying in his own mansion somewhere. Very interesting...

the Ultimate Discussion

Today we had a discussion on Immigration and i would say it has been the best one so far this school year. There were alot of good arguments the topic. I believe everyone atleast said something which was obviously a good thing and everyone had pretty decent reasoning for their statements. I personally got very into the discussion as did so many other students. I was really into what we were discussing, with no boredom. Just thought i would share how awesome 4th period was...

I was just surfing the internet and i read about two girls that commited suicide together and they were best friends. Their reasons were that kids were making fun of them. Both girls were 15 years old. Life is too precious to kill yourself over something like that, but very sad.

This is a video of a guy getting hit by a car from behind on a street bike, and he is very lucky to be alive. I would say riding a motorcycle is very very dangerous, not because of you ridng it, but when other people do not know how to drive and they hit you like they did this man.

immigration

I am actually looking forward to our new discusion on immigration, it should be very interesting to see other peoples views on that issue. This is a problem that probably wont get solved here in America, but i really dont see anything wrong with immigrants and the Dream act. There is definately alot of racism involved with all of the illegal immigrants

Mexico Killings

28 more bodies have been found in the pits near the U.S border. There has been a total of 116 bodies in these pits. The crimes were commited by the drug Cartels. There are 17 total suspects tied to the killings. Some of whom have actually admitted to taking people out of buses and killing them violently. I have no idea what can be done about these drug Cartels but whatever it is, hopefully it works. They are killing alot of innocent people already by sending drugs in the US, but now they're murdering their own people.

Japan

Japan's nuclear chrisis has actually rised even more. it is actually the worst on the international scale. it went form a 5 to a 7. Alot of people have been evacuating japan and trying to get out of the country while theyre trying to tone down the nuclear power. Honostly as of right now, i would rather have America focusing on Japan than being in Lybia. Our soldiers are in so much danger and Japan needs some serious help here. There has been quite alot of aftershocks also. Hopefully Japan can get back on their feet soon.

video taping while driving?

A lady was driving and she was videotaping two Giant trucks blocking two lanes. One of the trucks runs over a 2 by 4 and it smashes through the window almost killing the woman. Should she have been video taping in the first place while driving? i do not think that is very safe to be videotaping an event and be driving. Also, i thought it was crazy how she almost filmed her own death on camera. Crazy stuff.

War

Every country has their civil wars. And right now Lybia is going through a sort of "Civil" war between their people you should say. America should not be getting into other countries buisneess even though we always will. I believe that there are other things to worry about in our own counrty. do you think Obama has the right to send our troops to Lybia? do you think our troops are walking around there saying "God, why are we here?"

My Thoughts on War

Do you believe we should be the worlds police? We are defending Lybia and our troops are getting hurt out there and we're getting into everyone elses buisness. it has always been that way. The war in the Middle East was all about oil, there were no beneficial causes for us to go in the war. If there werent any oil there, i doubt we would have gone to war. When there are conflicts going on in different coutries, us Americans always have to step in and intervene on everything. I just believe that if we focus on our own country maybe things will be a bit better for us instead of worrying about other countries, even though that sounds a little self centered, but we are kinda in a recession right now

Reflection on Discussion

I feel that the discussion on Health Care Reform went very well, we talked about alot of important issues that are going on today with schools and education. Almost everyone in the room voiced their opinion except for a few students. This was most likely the best discussion we have had all year. We talked about how private schools are harder on the students than public schools and the teachers are not on contract, so they can be fired at any given time, so they try harder to do their job. Maybe if there were no contracts then teachers will try harder? because i have had a teacher my junior year that just sat on his computer everyday and gave us busy work and probably just planned stuff for his Basketball team, and that was my experience with a horrible teacher. There are alot of issues we need to solve with our education, and it is going to definately take some time.

Charlie Sheen

I have been thinking that i will really miss Two and a Half Men and the media really needs to give up on Charlie Sheen because he is not going to change one bit and he is going to stay the same but he is very entertaining at what he does. I personally think he is pretty cool and his show is hilarious and i love to watch it all the time so i think he should be a role model to people. :D

Subway bigger than McDonalds?

It seems like its unbelievable but Subway is actually considered to be the biggest retaurant chain in America as of now. They have surpassed McDonalds mainly on advertising their products, that is what has been keeping them on top of everything. Another thing that has helped them would be all the commercials they make for the products. I just decided to make this post because i thought it was interesting how it has become bigger than McDonalds, and that is a huge accomplishment for them to be more poplular. Subway has to represent hommie.

teachers being paid based on test scores

I want to share some thoughts on teachers salaries being based off their test scores. I feel that teachers should not get paid for how good their students do on tests because i feel bad for the teachers who are in a bad area and all their students just dont care. Someone cannot force a kid to do well on tests if they dont want to. I just believe teachers salaries should be based on other things, not how well kids do on tests.

mosque

i dont see a problem with a Mosque being built where 911 occured at, just because some Muslims are bad doesnt mean all of them are. Therefore, i wouldnt see a problem with them building a Mosque a couple blockas from where it happened. alot of people will have different views on it because everyone thinks all muslims are terrorists now which isnt true

Crisis in Egypt

As you all may know. There is a big crisis in Egypt right now as the people are trying to overthrow the government because they are not being treated right. There are alot of protestors there right now. Alot of Americans have been saying that it is not our buisness to get into other countries buisness. I believe that we should focus more on our country.

Reflection on my own discussion

I learned that health care is a important issue and that we shouldnt be spending money that we do not have. We should be worrying about other more important issues. Who knows when all this Health Care Reform stuff will go away and be settled but i think that it wont be soon because everyone will start to complain about it and the republicans dont want it to go through. There will still be bickering about this health care issue going on in america.

Different style of health care have there pros and cons. personally i prefer to have the healthcare in Britain, mainly because it is free but you have to pay higher taxes. so everyone is covered no matter if you have a job or not

Arizona gun law

Yo dogs. should you be able to holster a gun while walking around to "Protect Yourself" for second amendment rights? What if it gets into the wrong hands and a tragedy happens. my opinion is that sure you can walk around with a gun unless proven you're not worthy enough. i dont want snoop dog and 2 pac being able to walk around with a gun to shit some homeboys at anytime they want.
